Internet Will Be Tomorrow's TV Screen Say Executives at MIPTV Event as Wi-Fi TV Expands Global Online TV Service

Market Wire, April, 2006

Wi-Fi TV Inc. (OTC: WTVN) continues to expand its global online Internet TV web site, with news coming out of the MIPTV television industry trade show that the Internet could become the TV screen of tomorrow.

The web site www.Wi-FiTV.com offers members access to over 200 live TV channels and is also innovating in the way that the interactive capabilities of the Internet can involve viewers in TV programming.

"Internet TV gives the viewers a chance to chat and become involved in the programs in a way that conventional TV never could. And, as seen at Wi-FiTV.com, Internet TV gives viewers on a global scale a way to have access to the same channels. No conventional broadcast or cable company has ever had the kind of universal global reach for distribution that a web site like www.Wi-FiTV.com offers," said the creator of Wi-Fi TV, Alex Kanakaris.

A three part video introduction to Wi-Fi TV is now accessible for free to non-members on the home page www.Wi-FiTV.com . Subscriptions are available for $3.95 per month or $24.95 per year on a prepaid basis. There is also a 14-day free trial so users can make sure that Wi-FiTV.com works on their computer.

At the MIPTV featuring MILIA trade show, AOL chief Jonathan Miller predicted that tomorrow's screen of preference for TV programs will probably be the Internet, according to published reports. (There is no affiliation or relationship of any kind between AOL and Wi-FiTV Inc.)

Google to challenge Apple with online TV

GOOGLE is to launch an online pay-per-view TV service offering films, sport and shows over the internet.

The company has signed up ITN, CBS and Sony BMG to provide programmes for the new Google Video Store. It will see shows such as CSI, Survivor and the US version of Big Brother available online, using software similar to Apple's iTunes.

Prices are expected to be Pounds 1 to Pounds 1.50 per TV show, with movies and live sports events costing more. Sources told the Wall Street Journal the service would be one of the most ambitious attempts to bring TV content to the internet. The move will be announced later today by Google founder Larry Page at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

It will pit Google against Apple, which recently began selling TV shows through its iTunes music store.

Apple claims its service has been a huge success and sold over a million videos in the 20 days after its launch. However, the company is believed to be struggling to find partners for countries outside the US.
